What is a hybrid brow tint?

Hybrid tint is an innovative eyebrow pigment merging the intensity of henna with the ease of a brow tint, for extra long-lasting results.

​

HM uses Brow Code’s Hybrid Brow Tint, which is vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, synthetic fragrance-free and ethically sourced.

​

How is hybrid brow tint different to regular tint?​

Hybrid tint works differently to traditional tint, as the colour dyes the hair and the skin.

 

Traditional tint only colours the hair. Hybrid dye will grow out, whereas traditional tint fades over the course of 3-4 weeks.​

​

How long will the brow hybrid stain last? 

If you follow the correct aftercare, Brow Code Hybrid Dye leaves a stain on the skin for up to 10 days and on the brow hairs for up to 6 weeks

​

How should I prepare for my appointment? 

Arriving with a clean face is optimal.

Please avoid using makeup and facial cleansers around the brow area before and for the following 24 hours. 

Also avoid exfoliating and using anti-aging products around the brow area for at least two to three days prior to and post-treatment.

What if the colour stain is too dark? 

The initial application of the hybrid tint can be darker & bolder to begin with; this is an important step of the process to ensure longevity of the stain.

 

Within a face wash/shower or two, the tint will start to fade. After 10 days or so you will be left with a minimal stain on the skin. 

​

If you are uncomfortable with the initial depth of colour, HM can use tint remover to dial back the result and you can wash/exfoliate to remove the skin stain at a quicker pace. 

​

How often can I book? 

It is advised to rebook every 4-6 weeks.

Is hybrid brow tint safe for pregnancy & breastfeeding? 

Brow Code Hybrid Tint is generally not considered safe for pregnant or breastfeeding women. There is a risk that chemicals in the tint could penetrate the skin and enter the bloodstream, potentially affecting the fetus or nursing infant. 

 

It's recommended to consult with a healthcare professional before using any cosmetic products during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

​How long does the Yumi Lashes lift & tint take?​

Allow 1 hour & 15 minutes.

 

Is there any discomfort with a Yumi Lashes lift + tint? ​

Yumi Lashes lift + tint is very comfortable and noticeably more gentle than other generic formulas. The lash rods are adhered with a water soluble sugar cane glue, and the formulas/tint are all paraben and ammonia free.

 

What makes the Yumi Lashes lift + tint different from a generic eyelash perm?​

The Yumi Lashes treatment and a typical eyelash perm are very different. Eyelash perms also use very harsh chemicals that can severely damage or break the natural lash.

 

The Yumi Lashes formula is a very gentle keratin protein treatment that adds nutrients and vitamins into the eyelashes. It's hypo-allergenic, cruelty-free, and extremely nourishing. ​

 

The Yumi Lashes treatment takes your natural lashes and delicately lifts them from the root to make them appear longer and more full.

 

We are able to comb and separate each lash in the process to give the appearance of a more full, more voluminous lash line.

 

How long does the lift last for, and how often can I get it done? ​

Your lash lift + tint can last up to 12 weeks, depending on your individual lash cycle.

 

HM can advise how often you are able to get this treatment based on your individual lashes. 

 

Can I get the Yumi Lashes lift + tint done if I'm pregnant or breast feeding? ​

This treatment is safe for pregnant or postpartum women. However it is a consideration, as due to increase in hormones in the body during these times, you may have inconsistent results.

 

I have eyelash extensions, can I get a Yumi Lashes lift + tint?​​

No, a lash lift + tint can not be performed with eyelash extensions present. Please wait 4 weeks after extension removal to have a lash lift performed.

 

What is the proper after care after getting a Yumi Lashes lift + tint?​​

Please keep lashes dry for 24 hours after your treatment. Rinse gently after 24 hours, then you are safe to return to your normal routines with skincare, makeup, cleansers, and water activities.

 

What is the youngest / oldest age advisable for a Yumi Lashes lift + tint?​

This treatment is hypo-allergenic, non-toxic, and extremely gentle so anyone from a teenager to mature adult is a great candidate for a lash lift + tint.

 

I'm vegan, can I get a Yumi Lashes lift + tint? ​

Yes absolutely! The Yumi Lashes treatment is vegan (the keratin is derived from plant amino acids, which are known for their smoothing & reparative qualities), non toxic, hypo-allergenic, paraben free, cruelty free, and formaldehyde free.

 

And the adhesive glue we use is 100% sugar cane.​

 

I have really short lashes and/or curly lashes, can I get a Yumi Lash Lift?​

Yes! You may be really pleased with the results and realise your eyelashes are actually longer than you thought! HM will just adjust the rod size & process times accordingly.

 

Even if you have extremely curly or unruly lashes, this is a great treatment to retrain the growth pattern of your lashes.
